Daily Scripture & Questions
I Corinthians 1-3 Near the end of his three-year ministry in Ephesus, Paul writes to the Corinthian church.  He addresses behavioral issues and theological confusion.  Paul had planted the church, and Apollos had ministered there.  What was the nature of the division in the Corinthian church that was so very wrong?  What is the difference between the wisdom of the world and the wisdom of God?  Why is "Christ crucified" unacceptable to most Jews and Greeks (Gentiles)?  How was Paul's preaching intended to help people trust in "Jesus Christ and Him crucified"?  What is the one foundation of salvation that all must build on?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read I Corinthians 3:10-17. What is the only foundation for someone to be saved? What is the key difference between the materials that we use in order to build on this one foundation? What will test the building work we have done? When will this test take place? Will your work survive?

Biblical Prayer Focus
1 Peter 5:6-7  Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Let's quit trying to do things in our own strength and humbly admit that we need the Lord.   Picture yourself pulling the leeches of anxiety off of you and throwing them into the fire, letting God care for your wounds.
