Daily Scripture & Questions
Jeremiah 32-34 How does Jeremiah's buying a field in besieged Jerusalem express hope in God's promises?  How can we use chapter 32:39-40 as a basis to pray for ourselves and our loved ones?  The hope of what God will do is tied to the "righteous Branch to spring up for David.”  Who is this?  What do we learn about short-lived repentance from chapter 34?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read Jeremiah 34:8-22. King Zedekiah receives a word from God through Jeremiah. What was his initial response (34:8-10)? When the threat eased for a bit, what did the people do (34:11)? Does the "pressure" have to stay on for us to keep doing right? If so, what does that say about our hearts?

Psalm 35:17-18
"How long, O Lord, will you look on? Rescue me from their destruction, my precious life from the lions!  I will thank you in the great congregation; in the mighty throng I will praise you."

Give the Lord the suffering you or your loved ones are facing. Ask for His protection from those who would seek to hurt you, include Satan and his demonic forces. Express your confidence that God will win the day and that you will be able to praise Him in the assembly of believers.
