1 PETER : A LIVING HOPE IN CHRIST

ANNOUNCEMENT:
  • The deadline to be included in the book order has passed. You can still register by clicking the link, then order your own book and paying a smaller fee of $10.

DESCRIPTION:
  •  Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers' true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ. Study guide by Jen Wilkin
  • This is a 9 week women’s summer Bible study every Thursday at Trinity Fellowship. There is a MORNING option 9-11am or an EVENING 7-9pm.
  • Women  from all seasons of life and our community are welcome.

WHAT TO BRING:
  • Bible (if you don’t have one we would be happy to give you one).
  • $10 cash or check made out to Trinity Fellowship for the registration fee.
  • A humble heart ready to learn and grow.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
  • We can’t wait to greet you at the beginning and offer to make you a fancy coffee in the lobby (MORNING).
  • There are many women joining us for this study, to keep our discussion more fruitful we will be dividing up into three separate comfortable rooms when necessary (dependent upon attendance and leader availability)(MORNING).
  • Face masks are currently recommended in indoor common spaces (when social distancing is hard to maintain) for those that are not fully vaccinated. We will have masks available for anyone that would like one.  Please know that those who choose to wear face masks, or do not wear them, all are welcome at Trinity. We ask for an extra amount of Grace for and from each person attending to help us carry out this amazing event.
  • We love that small groups are a safe place to talk about life. With that, we do expect everyone to maintain confidentiality and not share personal information with those outside of the group.
  • We will not be using the videos during weekly meetings to allow more time for discussion, fellowship and prayer. There will be a video for the first week only.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE FIRST TWO WEEKS:
  • June 3rd we will be distributing the workbooks, collecting payment for the registration fee, watching a video, going over homework instructions (pages 1-13), discovering a little bit about 1 Peter (pages 14-15), and having fun getting to know each other.
  • June 10th we will begin the study with review of the previous weeks homework (pages 16-27), Q&A, lengthy discussion for greater understanding and application (page 28), fellowship and prayer for one another. This will be the weekly pattern for the whole study.

CHILDCARE (MORNING):
  • For the moms with young children, if your childcare needs change, please let Sharon Kuhn know at least the day before so that she can cancel or recruit the appropriate number of ministry safe workers.
  • Please remember to sign your children in and out and leave any diaper bags or special instructions.
  • Please pick up your children promptly at 11am so our workers can clean the room before leaving.
  • This option is not available for the EVENING study.
