Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership
Model a growing, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ consistent with the values of Trinity Fellowship.
Provide biblically sound, gospel-centered teaching aligned with the church’s Statement of Faith.
Pray faithfully for the children, families, and volunteers within the ministry.
Vision & Ministry Development
Lead the overall vision, strategy, and structure of Children’s Ministry in alignment with Trinity Fellowship’s vision and mission.
Oversee Sunday morning ministries, midweek programs, annual events, and seasonal programs.
Evaluate and select curriculum that is Christ-centered, age-appropriate, and effective for discipleship.
Multiplication, Volunteer Recruitment, Care & Development
Encourage, shepherd, and equip individuals to become leaders and volunteers who serve effectively in their roles.
Recruit, screen, and train volunteers in accordance with TF’s Children’s Ministries Policies.
Build strong teams that will promote a culture of collaboration, excellence, and spiritual growth.
Schedule volunteers and provide ongoing coaching and leadership development.
Administration & Coordination
Organize and maintain ministry calendars, classrooms, rosters, and communication systems.
Ensure consistent communication with parents, volunteers, and TF’s staff team.
Oversee the Children’s Ministry annual budget, resources, and supply needs.
Collaborate with the Pastoral Team, especially regarding special services, church-wide events, and cross-ministry integration.
Safety & Operational Oversight
Ensure all environments are safe, clean, welcoming, and well-staffed.
Maintain compliance with Ministry Safe protocols, including background checks and video trainings.
Regularly update procedures for emergencies, check-in systems, and classroom management.
Work closely with Facilities and administrative staff to maintain effective ministry spaces.
Partnership With Families
Support and equip parents as the primary disciple-makers of their children.
Provide practical resources, training opportunities, and communication that strengthens families.
Assist new families in connecting to the church and navigating Children’s Ministry programs.
