Daily Scripture & Questions
Job 21-23 Job contends that the wicked sometimes do prosper in this lifetime (21).  Eliphaz replies that Job's wickedness is great (22).  Job's deep anguish does not mean he has lost confidence that God is purifying him like gold (23:10-12).  What harsh fires of affliction have helped to purify your faith?   Are you treasuring God's words in the midst of your current challenges?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read
Job 23:10-12. (First, explain the general process for purifying gold.)  If gold could talk, what do you imagine it might say when in is in the hot fire?  How about when it is done being purified?

Biblical Prayer Focus
Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

We can cast our cares on Him because He cares for us (see 1 Peter 5:7). Take a few moments to unpack the backpack of worries that are weighing you down. Perhaps you can make a worry list of all the burdens you are carrying. Then give them to the Savior, one at time.
