Daily Scripture & Questions
Job 10-13 In chapter 11, Zophar says that Job deserves worse than he's getting.  Job responds that his doctrine is pure, and he is right with God (cf. 11:4).  Job also says that he will hope in God even if God slays him (13:15).  What makes suffering, especially when we don't deserve it, so hard to endure?

Job 13:15. How can someone trust in God even when God is allowing bad things to happen to him?

Biblical Prayer Focus
Psalm 25:16-21
Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.  The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses.  Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins.  Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me.  Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me!  Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.  May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.

Pray especially for those who feel so alone that they sometimes want to give up.  Ask the Lord to guard their (and your) soul, helping all of you to be people of integrity and uprightness.  Request that this be true even when the temptations are great.
