Family Easter Event:  Trinity Kids is planning a special family Easter Event open to the community.  Can you help us: *Pack gifts for kiddos ahead of time?  *Welcome and connect with families as they register and do the event? *By donating special Family Easter baskets to be given in a drawing? *By helping create items for the event?  If you can help in any way, please email kids@trinityinfo.org or call the office.

Trinity Kids is looking for donations of special, family-time Easter baskets to be given out at the Family Easter Egg-stravaganza that will be held on Saturday, April 16.  Trinity families will be encouraged to invite their friends and neighbors for a special kind of scavenger hunt where they will find out about the hope-filled message of the empty tomb.  Suggestions for the baskets include a story Bible or Easter book, toys and/or games that families can do together. . . and, of course, EASTER CANDY.  If you or your small group would like to create one of these baskets, please let the TK team know by emailing kids@trinityinfo.org.  (Note:  Every child will go home with a small basket. There will be drawings for these special, family-time baskets.)

Gluten Free Cookies:  We now have home-baked, gluten free cookies for those who have a gluten intolerance.  For those wanting more information about how they are processed in the Ministry Center kitchen, please contact the office.

What’s the Big Deal About Trauma? March 19, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.  Do you ever wonder what is the big deal about trauma?  The word “has become so omnipresent in pop culture that some experts worry it’s losing its meaning.” (vox.com January 25, 2022) Therapist Elyssa Barbash says it “is becoming grossly overused to describe an experience that is better accounted for as something that is upsetting or distressing.”  (TampaTherapy.com 3/21/19) While all that is true, trauma is a big deal.  It impacts the person experiencing it, people who witness it, those who hear about it and those who try to help.  Trinity is sponsoring a free seminar to separate the hype about trauma from reality.  It is designed for those of us who have lived through trauma and for counselors, mental health therapists, pastors, first responders, law enforcement, medical personnel, and others who help those who have lived through traumatic experiences. It is presented by two mental health therapists with 75 years of combined experience.  They will explain how traumatic experiences impact the emotional and psychological functioning of the victims as well as those helping victims.  You will come away with tools to help overcome those impacts.  Be sure to register by going to www.tfefc.org/tt22 or trinityinfo.org > Connect > Events.
