Daily Scripture & Questions
Ezekiel 35-37 Mount Seir (Edom) is condemned because they gloated over Israel's fall, but God gives words of great encouragement to Israel in chapter 36:8-11.  Out of concern for His holy name, what will God do (36:26-27)?  How does the vision of the dry bones coming back to life relate to the promises of chapter 36?  What are the results of God's re-creative work (see chapter 37:15-23, 24-28)?

Family Devotions-Scripture & Questions

Read Ezekiel 37:1-14 and Ezekiel 36:26-27. What was Ezekiel's vision in the Valley of Dry Bones? How is this a picture of the promise found in Ezekiel 36:26-27? The promises of the Holy Spirit (v. 27) are fulfilled under the new covenant brought about by Jesus. Can we live really new lives apart from the renewing work of the Holy Spirit within us?

Biblical Prayer Focus
Psalm 141:5  "Let a righteous man strike me—it is a kindness; let him rebuke me—it is oil for my head; let my head not refuse it.  Yet my prayer is continually against their evil deeds."

Pray that you will be open to correction and have a teachable spirit and not slip into becoming part of that which is evil.
