Daily Scripture & Questions
Ezekiel 22-23 These two chapters have long lists of the sins of the people.  They remember to sin in all kinds of ways, but they forget God (22:12).  The allegory of Oholah (Samaria) and her younger sister, Oholibah (Jerusalem), speaks of the younger sister learning nothing of her older sister's fate.  In the midst of this, did God find anyone standing in the breach before Him on behalf of His people (22:30-31)?  Are you standing in the gap for your family, and our city, and our nation?

Family Devotions-Scripture & Questions
Read Ezekiel 22:25-31. What have Israel's prophets, priests and princes done to bring the country to the point of being conquered? What was God looking for in order to not destroy the nation (v. 30)? How do we stand in the gap for others, for our country?

Biblical Prayer Focus
Luke 21:34-36 "But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Pray for the Lord's help in keeping watch, remembering the soon return of the Lord Jesus. Ask that He help you not to let your heart be weighed down with distractions. Seek His forgiveness if you have let the cares of life or your attempts to "escape" the pain choke out your faith.
