Daily Scripture & Question
Jeremiah 26-29 Jeremiah is threatened with death.  Would you rather have heard his message from God or the reassuring messages of the false prophets like Hananiah?  The Word of the Lord that indicated a long captivity would have been hard, yet it is punctuated with the hope of chapter 29, verses 10-14.

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read Jeremiah 29:1-14. There are several waves of people taken into exile in Babylon from the nation of Israel. Jeremiah writes a letter to some who have already been taken away. What does he say? What is the hope that he presents after the 70 years of captivity?

Biblical Prayer Focus
Psalm 38:15-18
"But for you, O LORD, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer.  For I said, 'Only let them not rejoice over me, who boast against me when my foot slips!'  For I am ready to fall, and my pain is ever before me.  I confess my iniquity; I am sorry for my sin."

The forces of darkness want to see us slip and fall. Seek God's protection, asking that He would help you stand firmly on the rock of Jesus Christ. Ask that the Lord keep your heart tender and humble, so that when He shows you sin in your life that you will be quick to confess it and get rid of it. Pray this for your protectorate as well.
