Daily Scripture & Question
Jeremiah 4-6  Jeremiah warns of a disaster that will come from the north (4:6).  He also warns of a people from the north country (6:22).  What are the outward indicators that the people follow God such as how they swear (4:2; 5:2) or how they still make offerings (6:20)?  How do these people respond to the Word of God (5:31; 6:10, 13-14, 16-17)?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read Jeremiah 6:9-21. Did the people take pleasure in the Word of God? What did most of the prophets and priests do that were so wrong? Has God made clear His path for you; are you walking in it? Are you paying attention to God's trumpet call? How does someone do that?

Biblical Prayer Focus
Psalm 83:13-18
"O my God, make them like whirling dust, like chaff before the wind. As fire consumes the forest, as the flame sets the mountains ablaze, so may you pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your hurricane! Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek your name, O LORD. Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; let them perish in disgrace, that they may know that you alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth."

Be honest with God about those who are against you because you are a follower of Jesus. Pour out your anger before Him and then release them into His hands for Him to judge. Let God be your avenger as you let go of bitterness and wrath.
