Daily Scripture & Questions
Isaiah 44-48 These chapters circle around again and again to what king?  This is the king that God will greatly use some 175 years after Isaiah's prophesy (44:28).  Why does God so clearly declare the future (see 44:7; 45:6; 46:10; 48:3-5)?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read Isaiah 46:8-13. Who is the bird of prey from the East (see Isaiah 44:28)? Isaiah writes this prophecy some 175 years before this king returns the exiles of Judah back to their land in 538 BC. Read Ezra 1:1-4 to see the fulfillment of this prophecy. Does God oversee all of history? Can He work all things together for good (Romans 8:28) in your life, even today?

Biblical Prayer Focus
I Thessalonians 1:2-5a
"We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction."

Give thanks to God for fellow believers whose faith is clearly being "worked out" into their lives in the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask for His help for those for whom this is not fully true.
