Sunday, April 25, 2021, Weekly Announcements

Elder Affirmation/Reaffirmation:  The Screening Committee has met with Joe Gardner, Scott Landstra, and Steve Wheeler and is unanimously presenting their names to the congregation for affirmation/reaffirmation as Elders.  If you have questions or concerns, please address them directly as to avoid miscommunication or misunderstanding.  Members will vote to affirm Joe and Scott and reaffirm Steve at the next Congregational Meeting on Sunday, April 25.

Is the Church Office Open? While there may be some staff in the office during the week, many are working at home to limit the amount of traffic in and out of the building (for Covid-19 cleaning purposes). If you need to get into the building during the week, please call ahead to make sure someone is in the office. If you leave a message, someone will call you back as soon as possible.

Did you know about CareLink at Trinity? It's simply a way to link needs within our church family to those who want to care, serve, and help meet those needs. So, if you're a widow, elderly person, or someone who could use some help with a specific need, then reach out to Kathie Richards (kathierichards@trinityinfo.org) so that she can post that need to the CareLink group. And if you're someone who'd like to help meet those needs, then reach out to Kathie Richards so she can add you to the group, and you'll be able to see the needs when they arise. It's another way we're seeking to be a healthy church family in Christ, Together!

Photographers Needed for Mother’s Day:  Two photographers are needed to be available to take photos of families on Mother’s Day.  If you can help, contact Anna at annahoppe@trinityinfo.org.

Child Dedication:  A Child Dedication service is scheduled for Mother's Day, May 9, 2021, at Trinity Fellowship (Big Rapids campus).  If your family is interested in participating in Trinity's child dedication, please call Connie at the church office or email her at ConnieLossing@trinityinfo.org as soon as possible.

Christian Daycare:  Trinity is exploring the possibility of opening a Christian daycare and preschool center at our Big Rapids campus building.  This an enormous need in our area. If you have an interest in being part of a team exploring the possibilities and developing a plan, contact the church office at 231-796-2600 or email kids@trinityinfo.org.  We are probably a year out, but we'd also like to hear from you if you would be interested in this for your children or for employment.

Try It Tuesday:  Ladies, join us for another Try It Tuesday!  Mark your calendar for May 18, at 7:00 pm, at Trinity Fellowship, when we will be building a terrarium (a mini-indoor greenhouse) and planting a few pots of fresh herbs.  Cost is $10.   Max is 12 people.  RSVP to Katie at 615-540-5466.  This is a great way to kick off spring and add some freshness to your cooking.

Women’s Summer Bible Study:  Thursdays, June 3-July 29, 9:00-11:00am. Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers' true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ."  Cost is $25. Childcare will be provided. This study will have small group discussions and is for women from all seasons of life and our community.  To register or for more information,  go to trinityinfo.org/summer-bible-study

Our Story:  Have you attended an Our Story night yet?  This is your last chance.  On Friday, May 14, at 7:00 pm, three young women will be sharing their stories in finding and growing from spiritual mothers.

Do You Enjoy Cooking?  Our compassion ministry needs a few more volunteers to make meals for those who have been in the hospital, had a baby, or have some other need. Volunteers simply make a meal and deliver it to the family. If you would like to serve in this way, contact the church office at 231-796-2600.
