Daily Scripture & Question
I Samuel 28-31; Psalm 18 When people are "bitter in soul" (I Samuel 30:6), it is easy to be against even a godly leader.  Has grief in your life choked out your judgment?  How did David prevent a division in the troops with his response as recorded in I Samuel 30:21-25?  What did he remind the men of regarding their victory (verse 23)?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read Psalm 18:25-30. How do our attitudes and actions impact God's attitudes and actions toward us? How did you act toward God today?

Biblical Prayer Focus
Psalm 130:3-6
"If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities O Lord, who could stand?   But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.  I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning."

Rejoice that your sins are forgiven, and that God graciously has declared that a Christ-follower's account has been paid in full.  Request that the Lord stir up an anticipation within you and those you are praying for . . . an anticipation of the second coming of the Lord Jesus.
