Daily Scripture & Questions
Leviticus 11-13 While it is hard to know the rationale for these clean-unclean distinctions, what do you think the purpose was for God's people then?  These restrictions are now removed (see Acts 10:9-28).

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read Leviticus 11:1-8.  Israel had very clear rules about clean and unclean animals.  God gave them these rules to teach them about being careful in being right with God.  Acts 10:9-28 tells about how God made it clear that we can now eat anything we want.  But we should still be very careful to be right with God.  How can we do that every day?

Biblical Prayer Focus
Psalm 51:7-12 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.   Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice.  Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities.  Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.  Cast me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from me.  Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Make sure that you have confessed any and all sins the Spirit has revealed to you.  Ask the Lord for a clean heart and a right spirit within you.  Request a renewed joy in your salvation.
