Special Needs Ministry
The special needs ministry, Rooftop Friends, is a group of Trinity people who realize that our church body is incomplete if people with special needs and their families are not able to fully participate within the body of Christ. Rooftop friends works to educate, equip and support the other ministries of Trinity Fellowship.
Following is a list of actitivites that Rooftop Friends has available:
- The Rooftop Room - a place where parents and caregivers can leave their special needs person with Rooftop Friends who will use music, crafts and stories to help them worship while the caregivers/parents go to the church service.
- Community outreaches during the holidays and other times. We teach a lesson, have songs, crafts, games and refreshments and have fellowship. These outreaches are for adults with special needs.
- Teaching Sunday School students about the different special needs children may have and helping them become aware that they can be Rooftop Friends to these special needs children.
- Friendship Bible Classes - These classes are designed for those with special needs. We teach a Bible lesson, sing, learn verses, have snacks and fellowship. The classes last about an hour and a half and run about 6-8 weeks.
- We provide 1-1 Friends for children with special needs in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
