Compassion

Now and then, events of life disrupt a person's ability to take care of things in the ways that they are normally accomplished. These can be positive life events, such as following a birth or being a newcomer to the community, or during a more negative event, such as a job loss, illness, surgery, or death in the family.

Compassion Ministries provides practical helps, assisting people during the disruptive effects of a life event, by giving assistance with various tasks, usually on a short-term basis. The Compassion Ministry maintains a pool of resources for practical helps, such as providing meals, helping with house or yard work, getting groceries, helping with home repairs, or many other possibilities.

You can become involved in Compassion Ministries in any of the following ways:

Providing this information will not obligate you to serve, but will put your abilities and availabilities in a pool of resources to be considered when needs arise.
