All workers (staff and volunteer) working with children must pass a thorough background and reference check. Each child's safety is the concern of each worker.

All of KidConnect's programs have three main objectives:

  1. Equip PARENTS as the primary spiritual leader in a child's life.
  2. Teach KIDS the Bible and encourage authentic relationships with God and others.
  3. Train, deploy and invest in VOLUNTEER workers.

KIDCONNECT PROGRAMS:

PROMISELAND

Sunday mornings are full of fun and excitement at Promiseland! Parents can rest assured their children are in a safe place where they learn about God and the Bible while they attend service or serve in another area of the Church. (Remember: Worship One, Work One, Warmth One!)

Promiseland is separated into 3 groups: nursery, preschool and elementary. Our nurseries cover children from birth through 36 months and focus on creating a foundation in the children that church is a safe and fun place where they can learn about Jesus who loves them. Preschool picks up our 3- and 4-year-olds and uses relationships, games and creative teaching times to strengthen a firm Biblical foundation. The elementary classes take on our kindergarten through 5th grade students with up-beat times of worship, exciting teachings, real-life applications and authentic God-honoring relationships.

During the 9:00 service, options are available for children birth through 3rd grade. The 10:45 service has options for children birth through 5th grade.

We love having visitors, so stop by and check us out! If you have questions, please contact the church office; the Nursery Director, Ashley Barrigar; or the Children's Ministry Director, Laura Vallette.

AWANA

Wednesday nights at Trinity are filled with tons of energy and Bible memory! Awana focuses on outreach through inviting friends and neighbors, and discipleship through study and memory of the Bible. There are several special events each year including the Grand Prix, the Ice Cream Social, the Family Carnival, the Awana Olympics and the Awana Quiz Bowl!

This program is open to anyone in the community, so if you are interested in learning more, contact the church office or the Awana Director, DeeAnn Ruiter.

MOPPETS

Every first and third Tuesday morning, a group of women gather for support, relationship and encouragement. MOPS (Mothers of preschoolers) is a group designed specifically for moms (new and experienced). They are able to meet other women, get parenting support, enjoy fellowship with one another and have a well-deserved break from kids if needed. That's where MOPPETS comes in. MOPPETS is the child-care part of MOPS. While moms are getting mentored and enjoying "adult-time", trained volunteers look after their children.

MOPS is open to the entire community, so if you are the mother of a child newborn-5 years old, please contact the church office or MOPS Director, Karla Alley for more information.

FAITH@HOME

Faith@Home is an annual event for parents to attend with their child(ren). These events not only provide a shared experience to strengthen relationships; more importantly, they help train and equip parents with resources as they lead their child's spiritual development. This is such an important piece of ministry that it takes the place of Promiseland on Sunday morning.

These events are age-appropriate and are scheduled as far in advance as possible to allow families to make appropriate arrangements to be in attendance. For more information on the next event, check-out the church calendar or contact the Faith@Home Director, Connie Lossing.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer in any of these programs, please contact the Children's Ministry Director, Laura Vallette.
