Care Ministries Overview
Some of our Care Ministries at Trinity Fellowship provide ongoing support and care, while others are targeted more for acute care to meet a particular need. Care Ministries seeks to integrate these many facets of care into a care plan, tailored to a person's needs.
- Our purpose in Care Ministries is to live our love for Jesus by taking care of His sheep.
("Do you truly love me? Take care of my sheep." John 21:16, NIV). - Our goal in Care Ministries is to be a dispatch center that receives notifications of needs, maintains a pool of resources for practical helps and relational support, deploys care responses that are best fitted to the need, and then follows up with the person in the context of a loving and caring relationship.
- Our desired outcome is to provide a system or network of congregational care for knowing and ministering to one another, as we all build one another up to healthy maturity in our relationship with our Chief Shepherd and with one another, as each part does its work (Ephesians 4: 11-16).
To accomplish these goals and outcomes, Care Ministries may involve one or more of the following specific ministries:
- Pastoral Counseling - To assess, suggest, and possibly oversee a care plan
- Compassion - To provide practical helps with daily needs on a short-term basis
- Benevolence - To assess and help provide for financial needs on a short-term basis
- *Small Groups - To enfold and embrace into a group for ongoing mutual growth
*Small Groups is not directly part of Care Ministries, but is Trinity Fellowship's primary delivery method for ongoing congregational care. Many of our Small Groups are general in nature and purpose, while others are targeted to specific needs, such as Grief Share, Recovery in Christ, and others. Please see the Small Groups page for more descriptions and information.
