Daily Scripture & Questions
Romans 12-14 Chapters 12f are connected to the teachings of chapters 1-11 by the word therefore.  How are we transformed?  How are we to think about ourselves?  How are we to serve the Lord?  How are we to deal with our enemies?  Summarize chapter 13's teachings about a Christian's relationship to the government.  Chapter 14 deals with our opinions about things that are not sinful in themselves but were considered wrong by some.  It is likely that the issue was related to the Jewish dietary laws.  The weak would have found it hard to shake a lifetime of practice of not eating certain foods.  The strong, who Paul sides with, are instructed not to scandalize or to despise the weak.

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read
Romans 12:1-2. What makes us want to present our bodies (our whole beings) to God? Is worship only what we do when we sing together in church? How are we transformed? When we think aright, what will we be able to discern?

Biblical Prayer Focus
Psalm 86:11-13
Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.  I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.  For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.

Living with a divided heart is a terrible thing.  Ask the Lord to give you a united heart and a whole heart and the ability to glorify His name through your choices today.   Ask this for those you pray for as well.
