Daily Scripture & Questions
Romans 9-11 These chapters address God's righteousness and faithfulness to the promises He made both to the Jews and to the Gentiles.  Chapter nine addresses God's sovereign choices.  Chapter ten focuses on the message of salvation to all.  This tension of God's sovereignty and the reality of our choices, when held biblically, leaves us with a mystery.  It also leaves us with rest and assurance (because God is sovereign).  It also requires our vigilance and responsibility (because our choices are real and make a difference).  Chapter 11 tells us that God is saving a remnant and grafting in the Gentiles.  Does this mean that God has turned away from Israel or that He will still do a great work among them in the future?  How can we note both the kindness and the severity of God as it says in Romans 11:22?
