Daily Scripture & Question
Joshua 12-15 The land was a critical piece of the people of God's inheritance. What is the inheritance of the saints now living under the new covenant (look up Galatians 3:18; Ephesians 1:11; Colossians 1:12; Colossians 3:24; Hebrews 9:15; I Peter 1:4)?
Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
Read Joshua 14:6-15. Who was Caleb? Did his trust in God get smaller or bigger as he got older? Are you wholly following the Lord?
Biblical Prayer Focus
Psalm 119:66-71 "Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word. You are good and do good; teach me your statutes. The insolent smear me with lies, but with my whole heart I keep your precepts; their heart is unfeeling like fat, but I delight in your law. It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes."
Thank the LORD for using affliction as a teaching tool in your life. Even though the afflictions that God allowed were hard, express your confidence that God is good and does good . . . all the time!
